Sooooo Sleepy....

Ever have those days where you just can't wake up? Today was definitely one of those for me, but what if you got 13 hours of sleep and were still tired? Again our friends from A Chance to Grow provided us a great story about AVE changed a young man's life. You can view the news clip here. The news cast is pretty neat in that it shows the slow brain waves. A beta session in the morning can help speed up brain waves to help you wake up, better than coffee :)

If you are sleeping too much it may be a sign of depression. In the northern hemisphere at this time of year the holiday blues surface for a number of different reasons. AVE has been proven to help those with SAD feel better and lose weight. Tired people usually crave carbs which are a quick energy source unfortunately this leads to weight gain especially during the holidays. Because an AVE beta session helps you feel more awake your body doesn't crave the sugars to function. Increasing your vitamin D intake may help as well, as we tend to stay inside to stay warm rather than enjoy the limited amounts of sunshine available to us. Also, for many of us the work day involves going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. Making sure you take a short walk at lunch may alleviate the symptoms of SAD and light exercise is always a good thing.

Often people have trouble falling asleep. AVE can help with that too by simply changing the settings to the sleep mode or meditation mode. The Soft Off feature is great for this, because the session will fade gently to facilitate sleep rather than stop abruptly and wake you up. Rather than headphones we also have the option of ear buds the come behind the ear keeping the cord away from your neck while you sleep. Also, if that's truly a concern the visual component of AVE is considerably more effective than the audio component. You could get away with just using the glasses. Though pacing yourself with the HRV (heart rate variability) beat trains your breathing, which helps you relax.

Contact us at info@mindalive.com and we'd be happy to help you to sleep better as well.
